Welcome!

My photo
The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Job 33:4 Thank you, Lord, for creating us with individual purposes to bring glory to you! I am so grateful and humbled by the opportunity to be a wife, mother, and home schooling family. My hope through this blog is that we would all be encouraged to be a life giving wife, mother, daughter, and/or friend with each breath of life we exhale.

Living Life on Rocket Fuel!

This video is precious!  Ann Voscamp just came out with a new book, One Thousand Gifts,  and this video was made from pictures that Ann took herself, and she is the one speaking.

My life as mother and wife feels as thought it is being given rocket fuel!  I cannot believe how fast it has gone by. My "baby" is sixteen now, and I am celebrating our seventeenth anniversary with Mr. Knight in Shining Armor.  It happens this time of year when my life feels like I'm in chaos, disorder, and I spend my days scrambling to catch up on housework and schoolwork, and scrambling to make sure those special moments with my children don't get pushed back for another day. Watching this video has made me even more determined to prioritize my life, de-clutter my house,  stick to the laundry schedule (and hang up the clothes!), and simply live life with my children and husband full of love and grace. Truly build relationships with my children that are lasting and deep. Pour myself into them, give them all that I have, not just tidbits left over. I have so much to be thankful for, and as I catch a glimpse of my beautiful, sweet sixteen year old daughter, I'm in awe of what God has done in our family.

You can order her book, HERE.  And, join the thousands of women in the book club community HERE.

May God give us grace as Mother's to be all that we can be. Please take the time to watch this video, it is so powerful!

A lullaby for all ages

What child or person for that matter doesn't enjoy listening to music?  Music feeds our souls.  We play it to celebrate and at funerals.  We write songs that express our emotions and help minister to us.  Church wouldn't be the same without music for worship.  God even took the music away from the Israelites for a time as punishment.  What would we do without music?

A friend recommended a beautiful CD, "Hidden In My Heart," for my new little guy, and I was so blessed by the song, "Be Still and Know," that I had to share.  Check out the song from Scripture Lullaby below.  Beautiful isn't it?
